Gov. Abiodun Prof. Odemuyiwa
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has concluded arrangements to create more technical colleges in the state to boost the training of technical manpower and the expertise level of the state’s workforce.
Disclosing this during a media chat today, the Adviser on Technical Education to the Governor, Prof. Joseph Sunday Odemuyiwa said Prince Abiodun is committed to the promise he made when he newly took up the mantle of the state’s leadership that he would stop at nothing to improve the state’s workforce.
Prof. Odemuyiwa who lauded Governor Abiodun as the needed Messiah for the state said he was the first governor to give technical education and vocational manpower the much needed attention with a view to boost it to meet the needs of industries and solve growing unemployment in the state.
According to the Adviser to the Governor on Technical Education, until the coming of Abiodun, technical education was accorded little or no attention at all.
Insisting that Governor Abiodun’s unquantifiable achievements in his first term as governor would earn him another term as the state’s helmsman, Prof. Odemuyiwa noted that over 20,000 youth of the state have been trained and endowed to earn their living through their technical know-how.
Prof. Odemuyiwa noted that if Governor Abiodun is given another term, his laudable achievements in this his first term would germinate and help to boost the state’s economy.
The governor’s adviser maintained that the state has never had it so good as the state’s helmsman has not let the electorates down as he’s determined to do more.
Prof. Odemuyiwa said the antecedents of the state has been grandiose as the governor’s predecessors had doe exceedingly well adding that Governor had done well to build on their legacies.
