Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, a.k.a ‘Tweeny’, Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, receiving the award from Comrade Olalekan Ayobami, the CEO of Ebun Online Television.
Ogun State Commissioner for Forestry, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, affectionately known as ‘Tweeny’ has been recognized as the Commissioner Of The Year for his numerous achievements in the ministry and his passion for his assigned duties.
The recognition was accorded the Commissioner by Ebun Online Television, an Ogun State based television whose Chief Executive Officer, Comrade Olalekan Ayobami described the Commissioner as the best man for the job.
Presenting the Commissioner Of The Year 2024 Award to Engr. Oludotun in his office at the State Secretariat, Okemosan, Abeokuta today, Comrade Ayobami noted that all the works of the honorable commissioner are not media hypes as in some cases, as he had gone round to see them physically.
Comrade Ayobami, C.E.O of Ebun Online Television and the General Secretary of Association of Nigeria Broadcasters, Ogun State Chapter said he had traversed the forest reserves in the state and could attest to the enormity of Engr. Oludotun’s achievements, pointing out that these include planting of over 3million trees across the nine forest reserves in the state.
He lauded the Commissioner for the creation of a new Forest Reserve at Laagan and the building of a new office for foresters at the reserve within four months, a feat which he said was remarkable.
Ayobami, a.k.a Ebun Oro also applauded the Commissioner for the installation of solar lights in the nine forest reserves of the state and the free registration of all officers of the ministry in the Ogun State Health Insurance Scheme.
He noted that the Commissioner’s achievements are too numerous to mention, as he was recently commended by the State House of Assembly for his record in revenue generation for his ministry was the first to meet the set target for this year’s IGR.
He also lauded the Commissioner for carrying along all the cadres of the ministry as he periodically organise seminars to ensure that they are tutored so as to be savy of their responsibilities.
In his response, Engr. Oludotun appealed to foresters to keep proving their mettles as the state helmsman, Governor Dapo Abiodun is watching them closely and he is proud of their achievements so far.
The Commissioner said attestations that emanated at the recent summit on the International Day of Forests 2024, were proofs that their efforts were not in vain but were being recorded at the appropriate quarters.
Thanking the CEO of Ebun Online Television, he said all the achievements ascribed to him were jointly achieved by all the staff of the ministry, hence he was taking the award in proxy for all.
He said the award will serve as a reminder to the ministry to keep doing their best as they are being watched.
