         Dr. Olukoya anoints 5ooo pastors

Time will differentiate the fake and self appointed heads of churches springing up all over the places in the country from among the God chosens, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya has predicted.
Speaking last Sunday at the ordination of 5,000 men and women as pastors of the church, Dr. Olukoya noted that “many now call themselves general overseers, papas, or superintendents, but time will separate the genuine from the fake,”
At the ceremony held at MFM’s Prayer City on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the General Overseer of the church urged the ordained pastors to stay devoted to their divine calling and shun rebellion.
The ordination was the highlight of the four-day 2025 Global Ministers Conference themed: “The Message, the Messenger and the Power”.
He warned the pastors, drawn from across the globe that rebellion is a destructive spirit, lamenting its growing influence.
“Rebellion always finds supporters who cheer it on, even financing misconduct,” he said, referencing the biblical Absalom, who died after leading a revolt.
He also warned against the rise of false ministers, particularly on the internet while challenging the new pastors to ensure their anointing comes from God alone.
“If your ordination is from men, it’s not too late to step back. Only God can truly anoint you. The anointed do not die useless deaths—they are preserved, while the false will be swept away,” he declared.
Olukoya further urged them not to use their positions to oppress their flock, but to serve with diligence and humility.
“From today, you are changed. Do not oppress the flock; be diligent in service. No man can ordain you—only God can,” he charged.
Dr. Olukoya urged them to remain loyal to their calling and to uphold the core values of holiness, prayer, and discipline which the ministry is known for.
He stressed that ordination is not a ceremonial title but a spiritual responsibility that requires total submission to God and the leadership of the church.
Buttressing his exhortation to the pastors with Biblical extract from 2Samuel 19: 10, Dr. Olukoya emphasized loyalty to the church authority, saying that Absalom rebelled against his father, the anointed of God, but died unfulfilled.
The cleric who noted that no one rebelled against against the anointed and go Scott free cautioned against rebellion and insubordination, warning that such attitudes have derailed many in the past and could bring harm to the work of God.
“Anyone who rebels against constituted spiritual authority is not only harming the church but also jeopardizing his or her own destiny,” Dr. Olukoya declared.
Also quoting from Numbers 12, Dr. Olukoya pointed out that Miriam and Aaron rose against Moses, but paid dearly for it and another rebellion against Moses was spearheaded by Korah ,Dathan and Abiram in Number 16:30-32, the ground swallowed them.
He reminded the ministers that their mission was to win souls, expand the kingdom of God, and serve as ambassadors of light in their communities.
Dr. Olukoya emphasized the need for the ministers to embrace humility, patience, and perseverance in the face of challenges, describing them as essential virtues for long-term success in ministry.
He also called on the ministers to live exemplary lives, noting that their conduct would influence how the gospel is received in their communities.
The week-long conference featured prayer vigils, Bible teaching sessions, and mentorship programmes aimed at equipping the ministers for effective service.
Delegates from over 30 countries were in attendance, underscoring the international spread of the church and the global significance of the ordination exercise.
The ordination has been described as one of the largest in the history of the ministry, underscoring MFM’s rapid growth and global expansion.
Church officials said many of the ordained ministers will be deployed to various MFM branches across Nigeria, while others will serve in overseas branches and evangelistic missions.
The conference was concluded with a thanksgiving service during which prayers were offered for the new ministers to receive divine wisdom, protection, and strength for their assignments.
The ordination is seen as part of MFM’s broader strategy to strengthen its leadership base, expand evangelism, and prepare for a new wave of global revival.
