The vigilance and combat readiness of men of Ogun State Corps has helped to burst a burglary gang and nip in the bud what would have been a successful operation.
A lady, one Sarpong Oluwatoyin, while sleeping on a sofa in her sitting room at Ojuroye Street, Iperu Remo, on 22nd November, 2022 at about 1130 hours, suddenly heard an unusual movement.
She immediately got up only to find out that her two (2) Android phones; one Techno POP 5 and a Nokia 3 valued at One Hundred and Fifty Six Thousand Naira (N156,000.00) had been stolen.
She immediately raised an alarm which attracted her neighbours and operatives of the Corps on patrol.
Men of the Corps on patrol quickly swung into action and the first suspect, Abiodun Aremu was arrested in a nearby bush where he had escaped into while his other two accomplices escaped.
However on interrogation, the arrested suspect took our operatives to a house in Ikenne where the second suspect, Kamorudeen Olasunkanmi and the third suspect (still at large) both reside.
On sighting our operatives Kamorudeen Olasunkanmi and the third suspect popularly called ALUBOSA took to their heels.
While fleeing, the said ALUBOSA dropped a bag containing the stolen items which was recovered by our operatives.

Amotekun Corps Commander, it was confirmed that the two arrested suspects are members of Eiye Cult which had been disturbing the peace of the community in the recent past.
They had however temporarily relocated from the town when the heat on them by operatives of the Corps was unbearable.
The two suspects also admitted to their involvement in several cult related killings in the last one year in Iperu and environs and the instant case of House Breaking and Stealing.
The Corps Commander confirmed that the suspects have been handed over to the Police SCID for further investigation and prosecution.
The Corps reiterated their commitment to fighting all forms of crimes and criminalities in the State, adding that “we shall leave no stone unturned in this regard before, during and after the yuletide period”.
