The two paramount rulers in Ogun East Senatorial District, Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba S. K. Adetona and the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi will tomorrow hold a joint stakeholders’ meeting at the Palace of the Awujale in Ijebu Ode over the creation of Ijebu State.
According to a statement issued on behalf of Aafin Awujale and signed by the Onigegewura Akile Ijebu, Tunde Oladunjoye, the stakeholders’ forum on the proposed Ijebu State will be attended by accredited representatives of the people of Old Ijebu Province, presently known as Ogun East Senatorial District in the present Ogun State.
Participants, expected to be seated by 10.00am, will include traditional rulers, members of National and State Assemblies from Ogun East, Local Government Council Chairmen from Ogun East, opinion leaders, businessmen and women, market leaders and members of religious and community based organisations.
The duo are probably meeting to iron out differences that might have arisen between them over the creation of the state.
