The Asin of Okaland, Oba Pius Omiyejola Akande, has condemned in very strong terms, the heinous attack on the peaceful kingdom of Owo leading to the brutal assassination of innocent worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
The King and the people of Oka Kingdom also commiserated with the families of all the innocent souls mauled down by the marauding terrorists in the course of the dastardly act.
A statement by the Media Aide to the king, Elder Jerome Tolorunlogo, says their condolences also go to their brothers and sisters in Owo Kingdom, especially the Olowo of Owo Kingdom.
“More importantly, their hearts go out to the proactive Governor of Ondo State, the Government and people of Ondo State and the entire Yoruba land, who bear the brunt
of this condemnable acts”, the statement added.
“We trust and are confident that the Ondo State Government will do all within its powers to unravel and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book in good time; we are also using this opportunity to encourage the governor and his government to remain undaunted but to step up efforts on security matters in the state”, it said.
The statement explains that the latest development requires all hands to be on deck to rid the State and communities of these wicked and heartless killers as a matter of urgency.
“In like manner, we also advise communities across the state to compliment government’s efforts by always be on the alert to nip such nefarious attacks in the bud” it cautioned.
