Just a few days after the demise of Senator Buruji Kashamu and the former National Auditor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wole Adeyanju, Ogun State has recorded another substraction in the list of its political family.
Dare Gbolahan the former Chairman of Abeokuta South from 1999 to 2002, and the CEO of DG Hotel, Araromi Adigbe, Abeokuta has passed on.
Confirming the death of Dare Gbolahan, the Transition Committee Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide, said he commiserated with the family of the former chairman.
The former Local Government Chairman, popularly known as Serubawon, died at the age of 74.
Shomide said the death of the ex-council boss is not only a great loss to his family, but to the people of Abeokuta South Local Government and Ogun State in general.
While adding that Gbolahan lived a fulfilled life during his lifetime, Shomide prayed to God to forgive his sins and grant him Aljanah firdous.
He prayed God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Meanwhile the death of the former chairmabn has been described as a great loss in the Local Government council and the State at large.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape made the remark in Abeokuta while commiserating with the family of the deceased.
He said, the marks, he left behind at the local council would continue to be a pointer to others, as his indelible achievements in market development and segmentation no doubt has brought the Kampala fabrics of the State to limelight.
Afuape noted, his demise at this time was a great loss in political system of the council area.
He prayed for forgiveness of his soul and that God should grant the members of his family great courage to bear the irreparable loss.
