The Grand Council of Yoruba Youths has finally agreed to give the Presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu their total backing in his quest for the presidency.
The council has also agreed to endorse the three governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the southwest.
Prominent people in the council include Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, Araba of Osogbo, and Agba – Awo of Yorubaland who chairs it.
The council posited that the idea that southwest will not support the presidential ambition of APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming presidential election was wrong.
This is sequel to the recent declaration of a socio-political group, Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths).
The group has announced its plan to officially endorse Bola Tinubu for the 2023 presidency.
The group says it will also endorse the three governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in southwest, according to a PM News report.
Meanwhile, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has lauded the northeast region for its overwhelming support for his political career.
He also urged the residents of the state to redouble their support towards helping him achieve his aspiration.
Tinubu made this appeal recently in his address shortly after the wedding Fatiha of Misbau Yahaya, son of the Gombe state governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, and his bride, Amira Babayo.
The wedding attracted other dignitaries, including Boss Mustapha who led President Muhammadu Buhari ’s delegation to the occasion.
