A Non Governmental Organisation, Royal Friends Rights Advocacy, Development and Empowerment Foundation, YAWA, has  cautioned Youths and Women to shun all criminal acts and thuggery before and after the 2023 general election.

This was part of the resolutions reached at its Leadership Empowerment Summit and Annual General Meeting, titled “New Dawn Era For Youth and Women Ambassador, 2022” held at Abayi – Aba, Abia State, on Saturday, 29th October, 2022.

The ceremony witnessed  the unveiling of the Certificate of Incorporation of the organization with RC No. 190368, Confirmation of appointments/Transfer of leadership mantle of power and authority to the National/State and LGA Executives and Presentation of honourary prestigious awards to deserving members.

According to the statement signed by the National President, Ambassador Jonathan Okwudiri and National Secretary General, Evang Nonso Ifeanyi, “the event was further used to revisit the aims and objectives of the organization, roles and functions of an advocate/activist, rights and privileges of Youths and Women, sacrifice and leadership among others”.

At the end of the one-day Leadership Empowerment Summit And Annual General Meeting, the organisation resolved  as follows:

1. That the organization shall continually promote, defend and advocate for the Fundamental Rights of Youth and Women in Nigeria.

2. That the organization must at all times advocate for the Peace, Unity, Development and Progress of Nigeria.

3. That Youth and Women in Nigeria should shun and eschew from commiting crimes, engaging in act of criminalities and never to involve in any acts of political thuggery and election malpractices during the 2023 General Election.

4. That anyone, who violates or infringed on the fundamental rights of Youths and Women in Nigeria must be brought to book according to the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

5. That Youth and Women in Nigeria must at all time, exercise their civic rights to exercise their franchise and also ensure that they support any credible Candidate/Individual from any part of Nigeria, who have good vision and dreams for the Nigerian Youths and Women during the 2023 General Election.

6. That the organization’s position in the 2023 General Election is that the members will only vote for Credible/Right Candidates, who have distinguished themselves with good track records irrespective of the Political Party.

7. That the organization will also work in partnership with INEC and other relevant Government Agencies to Monitor the Conduct of the General Election towards ensuring a free, fair and credible election.

8. That the Quick Intervention Unit arm of Royal Friends Rights Advocacy, Development and Empowerment Foundation, shall  commence community to community sensitization, orientation and public enlightenment programs on the rights of Youths and Women and also, encourage them to come out en masse in voting the candidates of their choice during the Elections.

9. That the organization has in totality, condemned the Barbaric Acts, Same – Sex Gay Relationship against the Order of Nature that happened in Umu – Osieke, Obegu – Town in Ugwunagbo LGA of Abia State involving one Pastor Okechukwu Goodness and Evangelist James Chinkere Ebere all attached to the Way of Salvation Full Gospel mission, Osieke – Obegu.

10. The organization therefore requests and demand that the Inspector General of Police to urgently swing into action and probe the in-action of the Divisional Police Officer Ugwunagbo (CSP Nnennaya Okereke) who granted bail to the Principal Suspects, who are now on the run that defiled the Land of Umu – Osieke, Obegu – Town by committing an abominable act and sacrilege against the Order of Nature by forcing teenagers and Youths in the town to have sexual Gay relationship with them and thereby Infecting them with diseases.
