Lagos govt pays N1.3bn to another set of retirees.
According to the reports from the Vanguard reporting that the Lagos state government has paid 246 retirees in the state public service which account for about more than N1 billion into the Retirement Savings Account (RSA’s).
The Director General, Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) on person of Mr Babalola Obilana released this statement on Sunday in Lagos.
He said in the statement that “A total of one billion, three million, three hundred and seventy-four thousand, three hundred and seventy-two Naira, sixty-eight kobo was paid”.
While taking, he explained that beneficiaries of the money are employees from the mainstream service, Local Government Service, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and other parastatals of the state government.
He also said that the Governor of the state, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu paid consistently paid the monthly the entitlements of retirees and backlog of some unpaid pension inherited from previous administrations.
Obilana sent his congratulator messages to all retirees for their work the render or service to the state.
This shows the commitment of Gov. He concluded his statement by appreciating Gov Sanwo-Olu to the welfare of the pensioners in the state.
#EndSARS Protests: Don’t be afraid, come for dialogue, Buhari appeals to youths
According to the Vanguard, the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has sent his appealing message last night to all Nigerian youth to end street protests and participate in meaningful discussions with government which have been aiming to make sure they reform any form of police brutality against Nigerians.
The reports claimed that President Buhari doesn’t like the use of wrongly imposition of violent force against any innocent, law-abiding persons, particularly young people in the country.
He sent this on. November 1_which served as the National Youth Day celebration which coincides with the African Youth Day celebration.

He said in a statement that was passed that ‘‘now wants to hear concrete and practical ideas,’’ from the youths, while acknowledging their constitutional right to peaceful protests.
He continued that ”You must realize that protests cannot last indefinitely. My government will not lift a hand to stop or suppress you.
He continued his word by saying that ”Every successful protest movement the world over has understood that there comes a time when activity must move from the street to the negotiation table. That time for you has come. Do not be afraid of this reality. You should welcome it.

Police arrest 5 suspected cultists over death of 25-year-old man in Ogun.
The reports claimed the police in Ogun state has revealed that they have arrested five suspected members of a dreaded cult group for allegedly unleashing terror on the people of Ifo town in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi whovserved sd the Spokesman of the command passed this statement on Sunday in Abeokuta.

Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspected cultist they arrested was under age 18 and 22 in which they received by the Divisional Police Officer in Ifo, Adeniyi Adekunle, that members of the cult group were on rampaged around Ifo market.
While taking, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi said this suspected cultists used dangerous weapons and dispossessing them of their valuables attacks people in the state.
He said and I quoted “Upon the distress call, the DPO, Ifo division, Adeniyi Adekunle, quickly mobilised his men and moved to the scene.
He added that “On getting there, they met a 25-year-old man, who was later identified simply as Sunday, in the pool of his own blood as a result of several injuries inflicted on his body
Furthermore “The policemen chased the suspects and got five of them arrested within the area. The victim was, thereafter, taken to the General Hospital in Ifo, where he was confirmed dead.
Edward Ajogun the Commissioner of Police in the state has gave an ordered that they should transfer the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discreet investigation.
Lagos APC fumes as PDP tells Gov. Sanwo-Olu to resign if overwhelmed.
According to the reports which claimed that Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is under All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos State remains undaunted and could not be distracted from delivering on his social contract with the people
Seye Oladejo who served as APC Publicity Secretary in Lagos state has reacted to the calls by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Sanwo-Olu to consider resignation in view of what PDP called “the collapse of good governance in the state, particularly in the last 10 days”.

While talking, Mr Seye Oladejo makes it known that the call that PDP called his for anarchy “the call for resignation remains the wish of a frustrated opposition battling its permanent implosion”.
According to him, he said the dream of PDP is to govern Lagos state.
Mr Oladejo said “the fact that the wanton destruction of public properties, utilities and individual investment in Lagos in the aftermath of #EndSARS protest had thrown the PDP camp into unprecedented jubilation was loaded with meaning.
He explained further that “The PDP in Lagos state that suddenly came to life in the past week owes the innocent members of the public detailed explanation about its ignominious and condemnable role in the mayhem.
“The intermittent falsehood about governance in the state fed to the unsuspecting public fanned the ember of the unprecedented violence which has left in its wake sorrow, tears and blood.
He continued his statement by saying that “The daylight murder of police officers and the razing of several stations across the state has no doubt taken its toll on our security architecture, but the state government is working assiduously to provide temporary accommodation to forestall the breakdown of law and order. We are persuaded by the firm assurance of the governor to revamp our losses in no time
