The accused, Stephen Jack
The police has arrested an 84 year old man, Stephen Jack for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of an eight year old girl (name withheld).
The suspect who reside in okun owa area of Ijebu Ode in Ogun State was arrested following a report lodged at Obalende Police Divisional Headquarters by the father of the girl, who reported that he noticed that his daughter was bleeding from her private part.
The father of the girl said when he probed diligently, little girl informed him that the suspect had sex with her.
Upon the report, the DPO Obalende division, SP Murphy Salami promptly detailed his detectives to the scene, where the randy old man was apprehended.
Preliminary investigation by the police confirmed that the 84 years old Stephen Jack is a known pedophile in the area.
The girl has been taken to the General Hospital Ijebu Ode for medical treatment while the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has directed that the suspect be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Departments for more investigation and subsequent prosecution.
