South West politicians of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sent a strong warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that the first ‘Wahala’ his government may face could come from the region.
The rumbling is coming from the stakeholders of the party’s support groups in the South West.
The APC South West Support Group has faulted the recent appointments of Presidential aides by President Tinubu and are therefore calling for immediate attention on the matter.
According to the report, the APC South West Support Group described the appointments as skewed to favour the Lagos boys and noted that this is unfair to others in the geopolitical zone.
The group alleged that Lagos State seasoned politicians have gotten most of the political appointment so far under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
The group insisted that this is unacceptable that Lagos is taking all the benefits that should accrue to other South West states.
In a statement signed by it’s National Coordinator, Otunba Dele Fulani, the statement noted, “We have observed with utmost dismay, the ongoing unpleasant development at the Presidency whereby most appointment are being filled with Lagos boys.
We the Southwest APC Support Groups are constrained to say that this trend, if not check, this might make the Southwest the first boiling point of the Tinubu Administration.
We hereby wish to call the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to this ugly development and to state that a situation where politicians from Lagos State are seen to be the ones taking all the benefits of the entire South West is totally unacceptable to other states in the region.’
