To curb the excesses of men in uniform and to ensure that citizen’s right are respected, Ogun State has created the state’s Human Right Complaints Portal.
A release signed by the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Akingbolahan Adeniran, indicated that information received through the http:\hrcp.ogunstate.gov.ng. portal, would be reviewed regularly and investigated by Ogun State Human Rights Complaints office or Judicial Panel of Investigation of Alleged Cases of Police Brutality and Related Matters .
The state has also promised to use as evidence in proceedings before courts of law, reports garnered from this source.
The release enjoined residents and visitors of the State to take advantage of the platform to upload evidence including; documents, pictures, videos and sound recordings for the purpose of exposing human right violations by the security operatives.
