In an initiative taken to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce emissions, and drive sustainable growth for the company and its partners, Lafarge Africa Plc has empowered its customers with 155 trucks.

The strategic move is also aimed at bolstering customer operations and redefine logistics in Nigeria’s construction industry.

The truck allocation, described as transformative, underscores Lafarge Africa’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and fostering long-term partnerships.

The company announced the initiative during a ceremony attended by key stakeholders, where representatives highlighted its significance for operational excellence and mutual growth.

Speaking at the event, the Commercial Director of Lafarge Africa Plc, Gbenga Onimowo, represented by the Head of Sales, Lagos, Babatunde Odufote, said the trucks symbolize more than logistics tools.

He said, “These trucks are more than just vehicles—they are tools of empowerment designed to enhance supply chain control, strengthen market presence, and unlock new business opportunities.

This is not just an investment in logistics; it’s an investment in our shared vision for progress and sustainable growth.”

According to the Logistics Director of Lafarge Africa, Osaze Aghatise, represented by the Head of Logistics Projects, Ogbonna Arua, logistics remains a cornerstone of success in the construction industry.

“Timely and efficient delivery of products is essential for meeting project timelines, satisfying customers, and maintaining our competitive edge.

“With these 155 trucks, we are equipping our customers to deliver Lafarge products with greater efficiency, ensuring reliability and excellence in service delivery across the nation,” Aghatise noted.

The initiative aligns with Lafarge’s sustainability goals, addressing critical logistics challenges while minimizing transportation inefficiencies and emissions.

This demonstrates the company’s dedication to sustainable practices and setting industry benchmarks.

The beneficiaries of the truck allocation expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the initiative. Abiodun Akinleye, Chief Executive Officer of Abiodun Akinleye Nigeria Enterprises and a long-time Lafarge partner, described the initiative as a game-changer for business growth.

“This will significantly expand our market reach and foster business growth. Lafarge has once again proven its commitment to empowering its partners,” Akinleye remarked.
