Arise TV anchor, Dr. Reuben Abati has waded into the allegation of some people who are trying to create an interim government.
It would be recalled that the Department of State Service, DSS, uncovered plots by some elements who are trying to form an Interim Govt
Speaking during a show, Abati agreed with the DSS that trying to create an interim govt will only lead to subversion
He said it once happened during the Military regime of General Babangida and it lasted for about 83 days. He said the court of law declared it as illegality as it didn’t go well

” What the law provides is that aggrieved bodies should go to the presidential election tribunal and we have seen political parties going into the tribunal so, anything outside of that is not recognized by the constitution. Speaking about the interim govt, we should remember that it happened under the Military government; the Babangida administration which lasted for about 83 days. Despite being under the Military, it was still declared as the illegality of the law. forming an interim govt will result in illegality and subversion according to the DSS”
