The Planning Committee of Agbinrekoti Festival-Imeko Day 2023 has made a passionate appeal to kind hearted people of Imeko and the general public to donate generously towards this year’s celebration of the festival.
The appeal was contained in a letter of appeal e-signed by Chief Adebayo Bankole and Comrade Olutunde Aninkan, the Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Planning Committee.
The appeal letter runs thus: On behalf of His Royal Majesty, the Onimeko, Oba B.A.O Olanite (Egi-Ogboye, Akanku IV) and the entire people of Imeko, we bring warmest greetings to you.

“We are proud of you and your success so far and we pray for more of God’s abundant blessings upon you, Amen.
“As a major stakeholder in Imeko kingdom, we seek your cooperation and support towards hosting a befitting Agbinrekoti festival-Imeko day 2023.
“The 45th edition of its kind in the history of Imeko and the maiden during the reign of our God-chosen incumbent Onimeko is scheduled to be staged from 18th to 24th September, 2023.
“The week-long programme packaged to feature various events, among others, is aimed at lubrication of the hinges of love and unity among us as a people, promotion of the right values especially among the younger generation, projection of our great historical and cultural heritage and ultimately, the development of our land.
“The celebration shall be climaxed with the launching of 250 million naira (N250m) Building Fund for ultra-modern Onimeko Palace at the grand-finale on Saturday. 23rd, September.
“Your donation and support to assist towards having a befitting festival shall be highly appreciated.
