Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka a.k.a GNI has dismissed the insinuation that a recent political gathering of his supporters in Ogun Central Senatorial District at the residence of Elder Joju Fadairo, an All Progressive Congress chieftain was a political strategy to feather his gubernatorial agenda for 2023 election.

Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka(GNI)

Prince Isiaka, a renowned politician in Ogun State and a Keen contender for the gubernatorial seat in the past three elections in the state who a few months ago decamped from African Democratic Congress (ADC) to APC maintained that the story as carried by a online medium (not THE STATEPOST) was fabricated and intended to dent the cordial relationship between him and Governor Dapo Abiodun.
In an online press statement e-signed by Bolaji Adeniji on behalf of Prince Isiaka and his supporters, the notable politician said that in the story as carried by the online medium, he was quoted to have spoken at the gathering whereas he was not at the meeting at all.
He also condemned as blatant lie that Olootu Dipo Sofowora was at the meeting pointing out that the said Sofowora is an Ijebu man, not from Ogun Central and so could not have been at the gathering.
Prince Isiaka pointed out that the meeting of his supporters was a mere friendly parley on politics and developments in the state and its local governments.
He said that at the meeting, attendees were also enjoined to work assiduously for the party and the success of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.
He also described as cheap propaganda the accusation that his younger brother, Alhaji Lawal Isiaka breached protocol by hanging his (Prince Gboyega Isiaka) picture in his private office in Abeokuta.
He noted that the house where his picture was hung was built over twenty years ago by Alhaji Lawal Isiaka and not Alhaji Wasiu Isiaka as claimed in the online story and has always had the picture of GNI on its dashboard for over twelve years now.o
Prince Isiaka said it was preposterous to consider the hanging of the picture of one’s brother on one’s house as absurd or consider it as amounting to branding the house as a campaign Secretariat.
He said he would have ignored the “fabricated story as another campaign of calumny from ‘obvious quarters’ but discovered that their agenda has been marketed to the high echelon of the party and government of the state hence the clarification”
Prince Isiaka noted that despite the fact that politics is about interest and that power blocs within a political system would seek to protect and promote such interests, it must not be at the expense of destroying others.
He said he and his supporters had displayed loyalty to the party and the current administration since joining the APC adding that “our values and principles preclude us from playing toxic and banal politics”.
Prince Isiaka noted that he enjoys cordial relationship with Governor Abiodun and holds the relationship in dear respect.
He said he has not indicate a future interest in any elective office as he believes that the task of governance is daunting and so all hands must still be on deck to ensure the success of Governor Abiodun and the party.
He therefore implored those he described as “frustrated persons” that feel they must concoct lies about him for survival to desist from this reprehensible path.
