The Ogun State planned Security Confab scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 will proactively change security’s operational methodologies in the state for good, Asiwaju (Alhaji) Dapo Wahab, the confab’s Local Mobilization and Community Liason Director has said.
Asiwaju Wahab told THE STATEPOST during a chat over the weekend that the 3-day conference billed for Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta between Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th April,2022 is the much needed booster to security operations in the state.
According to him, the confab tagged “Gateway Secure Confab ’22” and themed “Security: A Collective Responsibility” which is a joint affair between the Ogun State Government and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is planned to be a meeting place for security technocrats and top decision makers in the state and it is guaranteed to offer a highly interactive platform where participants will be effectively equiped with up to date security management skills and tactics.
Asiwaju Wahab pointed out that since the confab will bring professional security operatives together, it will therefore afford expert dialogues which will deepen security discuss and allow in-depth analysis of the present and future security management in the state.
Asiwaju Wahab who was very enthused about the forthcoming conference through out his chat with THE STATEPOST also revealed that the confab which is billed to be a platform for dealers, distributors, government officials and ministries to discuss challenges confronting the sector has a lot of surprises in stock for its various categories of participants.
He said the confab will offer solutions for example to the corporate world on how to avert the daily security threat to their expatriates which are now making them leave the countries in droves and will teach landlords how to monitor suspected tenants.
The confab’s community Liason director noted that for this purpose, leaders in the community are being carried along as we are going to grill them on how to know their neighbours.
Asiwaju Wahab explained that there are still well behaved traditional doctors left who do not practice human rituals, saying that such are those that have been invited to the confab to teach them the sanctity of life and dissuade them from these wicked practices.
He said that the confab which is largely free of gatefee to its attendees is to be partially sponsored by its corporate participants which have been graduated into gold, platinum, silver and bronze according to their levels of financial support.
Asiwaju Wahab also noted that there will be a post confab monitoring of the success achieved as government will be urged to implement the communiques arrived at during the confab.
