Commander Tijjani Rabe giving a plague to Asiwaju Wahab in recognition of ADWF impact in the fight against drug abuse recently.

Asiwaju Wahab made this submission recently during a courtesy call on Commander Tijjani Rabe of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ogun State Command at the Abeokuta office of the agency where he acknowledged the partnership of ADWF with the NDLEA as impactful.
He expressed the heartfelt gratitude of his Foundation to NDLEA for its collaborative efforts with ADWF which he described as “powerful, impactful and above all sustainable”.
“Our journey together has been defined by shared vision and unwavering dedication to the mission of building a drug free Ogun State and, by extension, a safer, healthier Nigeria”, he said.
He pointed out that the unwavering support the Foundation had consistently received from the NDLEA has been a great source of motivation, adding that Commander Rabe’s openness, professionalism and tireless commitment to drug demand reduction have emboldened the foundation to go further and do more.
Asiwaju Wahab explained that his Foundation believed that tackling drug abuse must be a multi-pronged effort and that was why its approach is rooted in community ownership and stakeholders’ involvement.
He said the campagn of ADWF captures schools, communities and families, religious based outreaches, media and traditional institutions among others.
The Global President of ADWF noted that the Foundation knew it cannot win the drug war alone and that was why it has persistently been building bridges across continents and sectors adding that as a result of this, it’s partnerships now span far and wide.
According to Asiwaju Wahab, despite deepening ADWF impact and extending it’s reaches, it is the changed lives, the restored families and the renewed hope in communities that gave the Foundation the most satisfaction.
In his speech, Asiwaju Wahab also seized the opportunity to extend the warm regards of Oba Ahmed Adekunle Makama Oyelude CON (Tegbosun lll), the Olowu of Owu Kuta who he described as the Royal Grand Patron of the Foundation.
The ADWF team on the Courtesy Call included Mrs Elizabeth Eweje, the Director of Women Affairs, Mrs Ogundimu Oluwatoyin, the Director of Mobilization and Orientation, Master Rayhan Dapo Wahab, Project Assistant and Mr Adelaja Foluso, Director of Media and Communication.
In his own response, the NDLEA boss in the state, Commander Tijjani Rabe appreciated ADWF for the Courtesy Visit, noting that the organization is precious to his agency as its efforts in the fight against drugs misuse in the state are not going unnoticed.
He also acknowledged the fact that NDLEA alone cannot win the drug war as efforts of other organizations are required to allow the campaign percolate down to the different strata of the society.
Commander Rabe accepted the compliments of Olowu of Owu Kuta saying that the involvement of the traditional ruler in the campaign showed his background and his altruism.
He urged the Foundation not to relent as it is highly recognized for all it’s past efforts at ridding Ogun State of drugs and all its attendant vices. He also awarded the Foundation the NDLEA plague of recognition.
Other NDLEA officers also at the Courtesy Visit are Deputy Commander of Narcotics Ekwu Eucharia, Deputy Commander of Narcotics Durojaye Taoreed and Assistant Commander of Narcotics Babatunde Joshua
Others are Superintendent of Narcotics Manga Dunya and the Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Haris A Musa.
