 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been ordered to conduct another primary election for Ijebu-Ode House of Assembly candidates under the strict supervision of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The order was given by Justice J.O AbdulMalik of Federal High Court, Abeokuta yesterday while giving verdict on suit No/FHC/AB/92/22 between Ayanbajo Adewale John and Oludaisi Abiodun Yusuf versus the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
Court ordered the rerun within 14 days from yesterday, 17th day of October, 2022.
The court also insisted that original delegates list must be use for the rerun while the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC was given till Monday, 27th of June, 2022 to conduct the election.
 Justice J.O AbdulMalik noted in his ruling that: “…Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should not recognize Yusuf Abiodun Oludaisi as candidate of the party untill fresh primary is conducted and authentic delegates list must be used and it must be supervised by INEC within 14 days”.
Barrister Olufemi Adubi of Dewpoint Legal Practitioner, said they are making progress adding that he believed so much in the judiciaryÂ
He appreciated Justice Abdulmalik for according recognition to his client by finding him worthy to participate in the primaries in Ijebu-Ode State Constituency and it’s environs.
Olufemi said it’s very bad as some disgruntled element trying to disenfranchise the original delegate not to participate in the Elections based on selfish interest.
The court also averred that it was wrong for the party to also use fake delegates list to accredit members to vote.
Ayanbajo Adewale John, of Ijebu Ode State Constituency expressed joy as court reclaimed his right for him and believe that victory is sure for him. Saying issues of fake list and kangaroo primaries held on 22nd of may, 2022 we be things of the past.
