Ogun State Chief Judge

From Johnson Onifade
Alhaji Ayodele Adegbola of Abule Oloni, Lantoro, Abeokuta has won the protracted 5 years land dispute instituted against him by Alhaji Lukman Jimoh in 2016.
In the matter with litigation number AB/384/2016 Alhaji Lukman Jimoh and three others have petitioned the Ogun State High Court over an 8.7 acres of land at Mowe, in Ogun State, accusing Alhaji Adegbola a.k.a Kalam of wrongful possession.
Alhaji Lukman Jimoh prayed the court to order Alhaji Adegbola and his family to vacate the piece of land in disputation immediately.
In his defense however, Alhaji Adegbola presented documents to prove that the piece of land was duly purchased by him from the owner, Alhaji Tajudeen Jimoh in 2002.
Alhaji Adegbola explained to the court that after the demise of Alhaji Tajudeen Jimoh, the initial owner, his son, Alhaji Lukman Jimoh rose up to dispute over the piece of land and collected what he called ratification fee to the tune of three million Naira (N3 million) which was paid in tranches on 17th May, 31st May and 2nd November, all in 2012.
Though both disputants presented necessary documents to back their claims over the 8.7 acreage piece of land in dispute, Justice B. Bamgbose of Ogun State High Court 8, Ishabo, Abeokuta ruled in favor of Alhaji Adegbola.
Justice Bamgbose maintained that after he had gone through all the documents and evidences before him, he was convinced that Alhaji Adegbola had proven his case beyond reasonable doubts.
He was therefore adjudged the rightful owner of the land in dispute.
Speaking to journalists later, the defense counsel, Barrister Kehinde Ayanwole thanked God on the judgement noting that the learned judge was a Solomon in judgement.
