Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun welcomes first baby of the year.
First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has welcomed the first baby of the year, baby Olude, a girl, born around 12.01am, weighing 3.5kg at the Oba Ademola Maternity Hospital, Ijemo, Abeokuta.
Mrs. Abiodun congratulated the parents, who had waited for eight years after marriage before having the baby.
In the same vein, she welcomed baby Adenowo, a boy, born around 12.07am, weighing 3.95kg at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu.
The First Lady presented the babies with cash gifts and baby items, while extending her kind gesture to other babies and mothers in the various wards of the hospitals.
She admonished the nursing mothers to key into exclusive breastfeeding, to bond with their babies, maintaining that bonding was crucial in family relationships.
