Rishi Sunak, UK’s Prime Minister
The United Kingdom, Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s President-elect.
The Prime Minister expressed the hope of a better future when the two countries would work together to grow the two nations security and trade ties.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he was sure Tinubu would open up opportunities for businesses and create prosperity for both countries.
In a post on his Twitter account, Wednesday, Sunak said he was looking forward to working with Nigeria to grow the two countries.
He wrote, “Congratulations to Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory in Nigeria.
Recall that Tinubu was announced president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission after he polled highest votes at the poll which happened on Saturday February 25, 2023.
“The UK-Nigeria relationship remains strong. I look forward to working together to grow our security and trade ties, opening up opportunities for businesses and creating prosperity in both our countries”, United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak said.
