Correction Policy

Last Updated: May 22, 2026

At Statepost, accuracy is one of our core values. We are committed to correcting errors quickly, transparently, and effectively whenever they occur.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We strive to ensure all published content is factually correct, balanced, and fair. However, errors can occasionally occur. When they do, we handle them responsibly.

How We Handle Corrections

1. Minor Errors (Spelling, grammar, minor inaccuracies)

  • We correct the error directly in the article.
  • A note is added at the bottom of the article stating: “This article was corrected on [Date] to fix [brief description].”

2. Significant Errors (Errors that change the meaning or understanding of the story)

  • A clear correction notice is placed at the top of the article.
  • The original text is updated.
  • In serious cases, we may publish a separate correction or clarification article.

3. Factual Errors in Headlines If a headline contains a factual error, we will rewrite the headline and add a correction note.

How to Report an Error

If you believe any of our content contains an error, please contact us immediately:

Please provide:

  • The article title or URL
  • The specific error you noticed
  • Any supporting evidence or source (if available)

We take all correction requests seriously and aim to respond within 24–48 hours.

Transparency

All corrections are handled openly. We do not remove or hide articles that contain errors. Instead, we correct them and maintain a public record of the change.

This policy reflects our dedication to accountability and respect for our readers.
