Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s vice presidential candidate in 2023, has declared that his party will never abandon its court duel with the President-elect as he claimed that INEC ignored a number of problems before declaring Bola Tinubu the victor.
And if the issue between the Labour Party and Bola Tinubu is tried at the Appeal Court and goes all the way to the Supreme and the Supreme Court throws out the case, Datti Baba-Ahmed said, the Labour Party and Peter Obi will have no choice but to accept it.
Datti Baba-Ahmed added that he and Peter Obi are only human and that the Nigerian people ran for the election through them, and if the Supreme Court decides to throw the case out of court, if it gets to the Supreme Court, they will simply say to themselves (Obi and Baba-Ahmed) “we have tried our best.”
Keep in mind that Datti Baba-Ahmed and Peter Obi had sued to overturn Bola Tinubu’s declaration of victory in the 2023 presidential election.
Peter Obi’s case relied on a variety of points, including Bola Tinubu’s alleged involvement in a narcotics case in the United States.
